Japanese Vending Machine maker pivots to data centres

Fuji Electric, manufacturer of 80% of Japan’s vending machines, is repurposing its compressor-free ejector cooling technology to reduce AI data centre power consumption by up to 85%.
Originally developed in 2015 to cut beverage machine energy use, the system harnesses waste heat to drive CO? refrigerant, offering an efficient alternative for heat-intensive server infrastructure.
