McVities study suggests tea breaks boost workplace cohesion

The Guardian reports that a study of 4,000 people, commissioned by food giant McVities, suggests that tea breaks can help boost workplace cohesion and improve employee performance.
The study found that most employees fail to take a break apart from lunch, with many believing this actually has a negative impact on their performance and prevents them getting to know other employees.
Tea breaks used to be a workplace tradition but have fallen out of favour in modern times - it's interesting to see a study suggesting the lack of them could be causing workplaces to miss out on various benefits.
