Stone vending machines appear in London
2nd June 2025
A number of Stone vending machines briefly appeared in London recently, as part of Clerkenwell Design Week.
Italian stoneware company Italgraniti launched their "Automatica" campaign. The machines dispensed free porcelain tile samples and were located outside Farringdon station, Old Sessions House, and inside the Church of Design at St Bartholomew the Great.
The event also included Beasley's Biscuit Bar, a pop-up offering free tea and biscuits, where attendees could observe sustainable furniture production. The initiative offered a unique way to experience stone and design in public spaces, whilst making use of the continued popularity of vending.
